O U R S T O R Y

We started this journey with a small idea that, we want to explore the mountains and document its true essence. For more than 5 years we roamed around various parts of the Himalaya, which inspired us to keep travelling far and beyond.

After a point, we decided that we should start something on our own, a project which will provide people a raw experience of nature through trekking, hiking, cycling or maybe something out of the box. And finally we came up with Musaafiran, an outdoor adventure company.

We believe, we are here to ensure that you have a great experience in the wild along with an understanding about our sustainable future. We also believe that we should support and respect our Mother Nature as we are being created and cherished by her since the beginning. Hence, we promote responsible travelling where we take care of our surroundings and reflect a positive impact on the environment.

The name Musaafiran came with a very simple thought that we all are travellers and we all are on a journey of our own. Someday, we cross our paths and share our stories together. We believe Musaafiran is a collaborative project where we travel like a family, share our experiences without any filters and make connections for life. If you believe that you are also a traveller, of your own mind, and you want to experience something different, we welcome you into our world, a world that gives you a hope to be alive. Even on your hardest days, you will find the courage to take a deep breath and keep walking on the path ahead.

With Robert Frost, let’s keep saying…

Miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.

Sandipan Kar

I started my trekking journey from 2017 and never looked back again. I completed Basic Mountaineering Course from NIMAS, Arunachal Pradesh and the Advance Mountaineering Course from HMI, Darjeeling. I am also a professional photographer and cinematographer and have my deeper interest in mountain-life documentation. Currently I am leading treks in North Bengal, Nepal, Uttarakhand and Sikkim. I love to run on the trails and test my endurance. For me Mountains are not something to be conquered rather they are the symbol of patience, courage and determination. Mountains are about stories of humanity and nature. I am always grateful to them for giving me their blessings and support in every trail I walk on.

I started my trekking journey in 2022 through Annapurna Base Camp and couldn’t stop myself to explore the mountains more deeply. I completed Basic and Advance rock climbing courses from Sonarpur Arohi. My Basic Mountaineering course is done at NIMAS, Arunachal Pradesh and my Advance Mountaineering course is done at HMI, Darjeeling. I believe every journey to the mountains is similar to the circle of life. We can discuss more about this with a cup of tea while surrounded by the mountains.
