The Singalila Pass Trek, located in West Sikkim, India, is a captivating journey that offers trekkers panoramic views of some of the world's highest peaks, including Mt. Everest(8849 m), Mt. Kanchenjunga(8586 m), Mt. Lhotse(8516 m) and Mt. Makalu(8481 m).

With an elevation of approximately 3,733 meters (12,245 feet), Singalila Pass provides a 360-degree view of these majestic mountains, with the Kanchenjunga range famously resembling the "Sleeping Buddha" silhouette.

The Singalila Pass Trek is situated in between the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and Singallia National Park. The trek starts from a small village called Sophakha, which is approximately 152 kilometres from New jalpaiguri.

The trek typically takes around 6 to 7 days to complete, covering a distance of approximately 48-51 kilometers, depending on the route chosen.

The trail winds through picturesque landscapes, dense forests of rhododendron and oak, and enchanting meadows, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

At an altitude of 3,600 meters (11,811 feet), Phalut is another significant point in this trek. It provides excellent views of the mountain ranges and is a popular camping site. Accommodation options include tents, tea houses or simple lodges along the route. Camping is also an option for those seeking a more adventurous experience.

The trek is considered moderately challenging and is suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers. However, proper preparation and physical fitness are essential.

In Spring (March to May), the forests come alive with blooming rhododendrons and magnolias, offering vibrant and colorful landscapes. In Autumn (October to November), clear skies provide unobstructed views of the mountain ranges, perfect for photographic and panoramic visuals.

We have our own guides to ensure our safety and helps to navigate the trail effectively. Since the Singalila Pass Trek falls within the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and the Singalila National Park, permits will be issued from the Forest Department.

The Singalila Pass Trek offers a memorable experience for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike, providing a chance to immerse themselves in the pristine beauty of the Himalayas.
